Akon แร็พเพอร์ผิวหมึกตกเป็นข่าวฉาว เมื่อล่าสุด เขาได้ถูกชาวตรินิแดดรุมประนาม หลังแสดงท่าเต้นหวาดเสียวออกไปทางการร่วมประเวณีกับเด็กผู้หญิงวัยเพียง 14 ขวบบนเวทีคอนเสิร์ตที่ Zen Night Club ประเทศตรินิแดด

Akon ได้จัดทัวร์คอนเสิร์ตไปยังทวีปแอฟริกา พร้อมกับมีการจัดประกวดเต้นที่ก่อนหน้านี้ได้ประกวดกันไปแล้วในกรุงลอนดอนและแอตแลนต้า ซึ่งประเทศตรินิแดดมีเด็กสาว(ผู้โชคดี?) 7 คนที่จะได้ร่วมแจมกับเขาบนเวทีคอนเสิร์ต และแข่งสดๆ บนนั้นอีกด้วย ซึ่งหากใครเป็นผู้ชนะก็จะได้เต้นประชันกับนักร้องแร็พผิวสีบนเวที
